Pengeluaran getah asli Malaysia meningkat 4.7 peratus pada Oktober 2021

Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia menerbitkan Perangkaan Getah Bulanan, Malaysia, Oktober 2021. Penerbitan ini memaparkan statistik pengeluaran, import, eksport, penggunaan domestik, stok, harga, bilangan pekerja, gaji & upah dan produktiviti bagi estet getah.

Pengeluaran getah asli meningkat 4.7 peratus pada bulan Oktober 2021 (43,127 tan metrik) berbanding pada bulan September 2021 (41,180 tan metrik). Sebaliknya, pengeluaran tahunan menurun 13.6 peratus berbanding 49,943 tan metrik bulan yang sama pada tahun 2020. Pengeluaran getah asli Malaysia pada Oktober 2021 disumbangkan terutamanya oleh sektor pekebun kecil (90.5%) peratus berbanding sektor estet sebanyak (9.5%).

Jumlah stok getah asli menurun 3.6 peratus pada Oktober 2021 kepada 281,723 tan metrik berbanding 292,312 tan metrik pada September 2021. Kilang pemproses getah menyumbang stok akhir sebanyak 92.0 peratus diikuti kilang pengguna getah (7.9%) dan estet getah (0.1%).

Eksport getah asli Malaysia berjumlah 62,167 tan metrik pada Oktober 2021 menurun 0.3 peratus berbanding September 2021 (62,332 tan metrik). China terus mendominasi sebagai pengimport  tertinggi getah asli iaitu 56.8 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan eksport pada Oktober 2021 diikuti Pakistan (3.2%), Amerika Syarikat (3.0%), Iran (2.7%) dan Jerman (2.1%). Prestasi eksport disumbangkan oleh produk berasaskan getah asli seperti sarung tangan getah, tayar, tiub, benang getah dan kondom. Produk sarung tangan getah merupakan eksport utama dengan nilai sebanyak RM2.6 billion pada Oktober 2021, menurun sebanyak 15.0 peratus berbanding September 2021 (RM3.1 billion).

Analisis kepada perbandingan harga purata bulanan menunjukkan Lateks Pekat merekodkan peningkatan sebanyak 4.8 peratus (Oktober 2021: 521.20 sen sekilogram, September 2021: 497.24 sen sekilogram) dan Sekerap sebanyak 7.5 peratus (Oktober 2021: 578.52 sen sekilogram, September 2021: 538.08 sen sekilogram). Keadaan yang sama turut berlaku kepada semua jenis Getah Mutu Malaysia (G.M.M) yang meningkat antara 4.7 hingga 6.7 peratus. G.M.M. 20 merekodkan peningkatan tertinggi 6.7 peratus (Oktober 2021: 714.08 sen sekilogram, September 2021: 668.98 sen sekilogram). Perubahan harga di peringkat global seperti yang dilaporkan oleh World Bank Commodity Price Data turut menunjukkan harga bagi getah jenis TSR 20 (Technically Specified Rubber) dan SGP/MYS (Singapura/Malaysia) masing-masing meningkat 6.5 peratus (daripada USD1.63/kg kepada USD1.73/kg) dan 4.6 peratus (daripada USD1.79/kg kepada USD1.87/kg). Tambahan itu, menurut Malaysian Rubber Board Digest yang diterbitkan pada Oktober 2021, aliran peningkatan harga pada bulan rujukan disokong oleh perkembangan ekonomi global yang positif membawa kepada keuntungan dalam pasaran hadapan getah serantau.

Prestasi pertumbuhan pengeluaran getah asli Malaysia dalam tempoh sepuluh bulan pertama 2021 mencatatkan penurunan 5.9 peratus berbanding tempoh yang sama tahun 2020 (Januari-Oktober 2021: 397,486 tan metrik, Januari-Oktober 2020: 422,324 tan metrik).



Malaysia rubber production increased by 4.7 per cent in October 2021

The Department of Statistics, Malaysia today released Monthly Rubber Statistics, Malaysia, October 2021. This publication consists of statistics on production, imports, exports, domestic consumption, stocks, prices, number of employees, salaries & wages and productivity of rubber estates.

Natural rubber production increased by 4.7 per cent in October 2021 (43,127 tonnes) as compared to September 2021 (41,180 tonnes). On the contrary, the production on an annual basis decreased by 13.6 per cent as against 49,943 tonnes in the same month in 2020. Production of natural rubber in October 2021 for Malaysia was mainly contributed by smallholders sector (90.5%) as compared to estates sector (9.5%).

Total stocks of natural rubber decreased 3.6 per cent in October 2021 to 281,723 tonnes as compared to 292,312 tonnes in September 2021. Rubber processors factory was contributing 92.0 per cent of the stocks followed by rubber consumers factory (7.9%) and rubber estates (0.1%).

Exports of Malaysia's natural rubber amounted to 62,167 tonnes in October 2021, decreased by 0.3 per cent as against September 2021 (62,332 tonnes). P.R. China continued to dominate as the highest importer of natural rubber with 56.8 per cent from total exports in October 2021 followed by Pakistan (3.2%), U.S.A (3.0%), Iran (2.7%) and Germany (2.1%). The exports performance was contributed by natural rubber-based product such as gloves, tyre, tube, rubber thread and condom. Gloves were the main exports of rubber-based products with a value of RM2.6 billion in October 2021, a decrease of 15.0 per cent as compared to September 2021 (RM3.1 billion).

Analysis of the average monthly price showed that Latex Concentrated recorded an increase of 4.8 per cent (October 2021: 521.20 sen per kg, September 2021:497.24 sen per kg) and Scrap 7.5 per cent (October 2021: 578.52 sen per kg, September 2021: 538.08 sen per kg). A similar trend is also observed for all Standard Malaysian Rubber (S.M.R) which increased between 4.7 to 6.7 per cent. S.M.R. 20 recorded the highest increase of 6.7 per cent (October 2021: 714.08 sen per kg, September 2021: 668.98 sen per kg). The movement of global prices as reported by World Bank Commodity Price Data also showed that the prices for TSR 20 (Technically Specified Rubber) and SGP/MYS (Singapore/Malaysia) type increased 6.5 per cent (from USD1.63/kg to USD1.73/kg) and 4.6 per cent (from USD1.79/kg to USD1.87/kg) respectively. In addition, according to Malaysian Rubber Board Digest released in October 2021, the uptrend price in reference month were supported by some positive global economic developments led to gains in regional rubber futures markets.

The performance of Malaysia's natural rubber production in the first ten months of 2021 recorded a decrease of 5.9 per cent as compared to the same period in 2020 (January-October 2021: 397,486 tonnes, January-October 2020: 422,324 tonnes).
